Members of Congress are already lobbying the Interior Department against a casino that hasn't even been proposed yet on land that isn't even in trust.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) and Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama) said they have already spoken to the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the National Indian Gaming Commission. They said they will block the United Keetoowah Band of Oklahoma from opening a casino in Alabama. The UKB currently doesn't have plans for a casino in Alabama, tribal officials said. The tribe has been donated 69 acres in Fort Payne. A museum and cultural center are planned. Get the Story:
