The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts isn't likely to gain approval to open a casino in the state because the review process is too complex, a Democratic state senator said.
The tribe says it will have the right to open a Class III casino if slot machines are approved in the state. But state Sen. Michael Morrissey, a support of the slot legislation, says the tribe doesn't pose a "real threat." The tribe's biggest hurdle is finding a location for a casino because the tribe has ruled Martha's Vineyard, the island where its reservation is located. Get the Story:
