New Mexico's gaming tribes are expanding their gaming facilities in hopes of bringing in more customers.
Laguna Pueblo just broke ground on a 150-room hotel next to the Route 66 Casino. Last month, Isleta Pueblo broke ground on a 201-room hotel and convention center. Sandia Pueblo recently opened a 228-room hotel and golf resort at its casino near Albuquerque. Further north, Ohkay Owingeh is building a convention center. "Diversifying into other businesses is what's happening," Ohkay Owingeh Gov. Joe Garcia told The Albuquerque Tribune. The tribes share a percentage of Class III revenues with the state. Get the Story:
