$stalker A group of pastors says gambling is immoral but they might join forces with the gaming industry in order to defeat the off-reservation casino sought by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
Jackson County United For Families met on Thursday to discuss strategies against the casino. One route might joining a petition drive being proposed by Coast Businesses for Fair Play, which represents the Gulf Coast gaming industry. "We recognize that we are aligning ourselves with a group that we would not ordinarily agree with," a spokesperson for the pastors said, The Mississippi Press reported. The Choctaws own 100 acres in Ocean Springs and wants to use the land for gaming. The site is located off a major interstate, more than 200 miles from the reservation. Get the Story:
