The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe will move forward with plans for a new casino after tribal citizens voted overwhelmingly in support of the effort.
The tribe will be moving the Palace Casino and Hotel to a different location in Cass Lake, Minnesota, that sees more traffic. Construction is slated to begin in early 2018 and the facility, which is expected to cost between $45 million to $50 million, is due to open in 2019, according to a press release.
