The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community is spending $40 million to upgrade its casinos in Michigan and needs worker to help out.

The tribe is hosting an open house at the Ojibwa Casino in Baraga on Tuesday. Anyone interested in the building trades -- carpenters, electricians, painters and the like -- are encouraged to attend.

The message is clear. “If you need a job … come here,” President Chris Swartz said at a tribal council meeting on Friday, The Marquette Daily Mining Gazette reported.

The tribe is spending $33.5 million to upgrade the casino in Marquette and $6.5 million on the facility in Baraga.
