The Seminole Tribe has shut down an entertainment and retail area at one of its casinos in southern Florida.
The Seminole Paradise at the Seminole
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood featured dozens of retail and dining options. But it is officially closing down on Friday, according to an update on the facility's website.
The closure led to a dispute between the tribe and one of the former tenants. The parties have since reached a confidential settlement, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported, to address breach of contract allegations.
“I would say the mediation was successful because the suit was settled,” an attorney for the tenants told the paper.
The Seminole Paradise will be replaced by a new shopping area, according to news reports. A guitar-shaped hotel is also being planned but a spokesperson told The Sun-Sentinel that details haven't been finalized.
