The Oneida Nation announced $20 million in upgrades at its flagship casino in New York.
The Turning Stone Resort Casino will be seeing a new gaming floor, a food hall and a floor-by-floor remodel of 285 hotel rooms.
The work is being completed in phases, with a smoking area that will be separated from non-smoking portions debuting in less than two weeks.
“Turning Stone is one of the leading tourist destinations in the region: we are deeply committed to world-class service and being responsive to our guests – and then matching that commitment with guest-driven investments," Ray Halbritter, who serves as the tribe's official representative and CEO of its business enterprise, said in a press release.
"This new project reflects that legacy – it shows our dedication to offering superior amenities and consistently evolving and elevating the guest experience at Turning Stone."
The food hall will open in late-December. The hotel upgrades will be completed the summer of 2018 although 80 rooms have already been remodeled.
In addition to Turning Stone, the tribe operates the Yellow Brick Road
Casino, a smaller facility.
