The economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe is debuting its new racetrack in Nebraska.
The track is located at the former Atokad Downs in South Sioux City. It will run just one three-horse race on Saturday as it maintains its license.
Eventually, Ho-Chunk Inc., the tribe's development arm, hopes to open a casino at the site. But efforts to put a gaming question on the November ballot failed this year.
Ho-Chunk Inc. owns Indianz.Com but the website is not involved in the corporation's activities.
