Rincon Band almost ready to start brewing beer at casino eatery

The Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians in California announced a $14 million casino expansion last month and one part of the project is already near completion.

SR-76 Beer Works at Harrah’s Resort Southern California is set to open by the end of the month, Valley Center Happenings reported. It will be the first tribally-owned brewery in the region.

"We want to supply world-class beer," brew master Brian Scott told the paper. The eatery plans to brew 3,000 kegs a year, the paper reported.

SR-76 Beer Works takes its name from State Road 76, which traces a historical migration path used by the tribe.
