The Pokagon Band of
Potawatomi Indians has finished work on a casino expansion project in Michigan.
The 27,000 square-foot Four
Winds Dowagiac has grown by 2,700 square-feet to make way for 70 additional slot
machines and two more table games, The South Bend Tribune reported. There's also an exclusive entrance and parking spaces for certain members of the casino's loyalty program.
Dowagiac is one of three facilities operated by the tribe in Michigan. A fourth is being planned in neighboring Indiana and is the subject of a land-into-trust application. The final environmental impact statement for the project has been released by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
