Navajo Nation lawmakers approve bill for travel plaza at casino

The Navajo Nation Council on Wednesday approved a bill to fund a travel center at its flagship casino in Arizona.
Legislation
No. 0214-16 authorizes a travel center at the Twin Arrows Navajo Casino
Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona. The money for the project would be drawn as a
$10 million loan from the SÃhasin Fund, a fund that was created by a $554
million trust settlement
The Twin Arrows Travel Center would consist of a gas station and convenience store. It would be located along Interstate 40, a busy highway.
The bill was approved by a vote of 16-2, according to a press release. It now goes to President Russell Begaye for his review.
