Poarch Creeks in deal to acquire commercial casino in Louisiana

The Poarch Band of Creek
Indians continues to expand its gaming empire beyond Alabama.
The tribe announced a deal to buy the Margaritaville Resort Casino, a commercial facility in Bossier City, Louisiana. The purchase price was not disclosed.
"This acquisition will further our goal of building a great company, providing superb customer service, dedicated to and appreciative of its employees and committed to the communities in which we operate," Chairwoman Stephanie Bryan said in a press release.
The tribe operates Class II gaming facilities on its reservation in Alabama, a dog track in Alabama and two race tracks in Florida.
The tribe also manages a casino in Nevada in partnership with the Washoe Tribe and recently acquired the site of a potential casino in Mississippi
