The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho has once again parted ways with David Matheson.

Matheson, a tribal member, has served as chief executive officer of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel twice. He previously held the post from 1994 through 2006 before he was fired.

The tribe then sued Matheson for alleged financial improprieties but dropped the case in 2007. He came back to the casino in August 2011 but his contract was not renewed, The Coeur d'Alene Press reported.

“Dave has been a big part of the development and success of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel and the Council has nothing but respect and appreciation for his efforts," Chairman Chief J. Allan said in a statement, the paper reported. "We wish Dave the very best of luck in his future endeavors.”

The tribe expects to replace Matheson within 90 days, the paper said.
