Another employee pleads guilty for Choctaw Nation casino theft

Yet another former employee of a casino owned by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma has pleaded guilty to theft.

Details are scarce but Allen Michael Scott, 22, admitted to stealing more than $1,000 from the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant. He faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $1 million in fines, the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a press release.

The plea comes after Dung Thi Ngoc Nguyen, 33, also admitted to stealing more than $1,000 from the casino. He faces a similar punishment as Scott but his court records do not offer much information about the crime either.

Scott and Nguyen are among five former employees to be charged with theft from the casino in recent months. The facility also was at the center of a massive federal corruption case that led to convictions against eight people.
