A 14-year-old boy died in what appears to be a tragic accident at a casino owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

The teen apparently shot himself with a gun at the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino on Sunday afternoon. He was sitting inside a parked car at the facility, according to news reports.

A sibling of the boy was also in the car at the time and alerted their parents, who were inside the casino, WTOK reported. Scott County Sheriff Tommy Waddell told the station that the shooting appears to be accidental.
