Kickapoo Tribe put casino on lockdown due to shooting incident

The Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma put one of its casinos on lockdown on Friday evening after reports of a shooting in the parking lot.

According to news reports, members of rival biker gangs exchanged gunfire at the travel plaza next to the Kickapoo Casino in Harrah. A bullet went through a tarp at the casino and one person suffered a non-life threatening injury, News 9 reported.


One person, said to be a member of a biker gang, has been arrested, the station said. Tribal, local, state and federal authorities continue to investigate the incident.

The lockdown was lifted around 11:30pm on Friday night, according to the casino's Facebook page.
