Boat racer killed in event at Colorado River Indian Tribes casino

A drag boat racer died during an event at the casino owned by the Colorado River Indian Tribes, The Havasu News reports.

The Arizona Drag Boat Association held its “Showdown on the River" at the BlueWater Resort and Casino over the weekend. Wade Stanley died from a fatal injury, the paper reported.

"We post with the deepest sorrows, the loss of one of our own," the association said on Facebook. "A father, husband, brother and fellow racer Wade Stanley will forever be missed by all of us."
