Tribal facilities land on top of Yahoo Travel's list of best casinos

Yahoo Travel named the best casinos outside of Las Vegas and tribal facilities claimed the top three spots.

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut was ranked number one for the Mohegan Sun. Yahoo Travel mentions "dozens of restaurants, a few nightclubs, a spa, a golf course, two theaters, a luxury hotel, and an arena that’s home to the WNBA Connecticut Suns."

Two tribes in California claimed the next two spots. The United Auburn Indian Community operates the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in the northern part of the state and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians covered the southern part with its Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

Of the remaining seven casinos on the list, three are operated by tribes.
