The American Gaming Association is adding more Indian Country representation to its leadership.

The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority is one of the organization's new board members. The authority runs the gaming operation of the Mohegan Tribe in Connecticut.

"AGA has never been stronger or more inclusive than it is today,," president and CEO Geoff Freeman said in a press release.

Freeman has been making more efforts to include Indian Country in the organization. Seminole Hard Rock Gaming, the gaming arm of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, joined the board in January.

The AGA's Global Gaming Expo, the world's largest gaming conference, kicks off next week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
