The Eastern
Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux
Community of Minnesota continue their gaming partnership.
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe just received a $335K grant from the Shakopee Tribe. The money will be used to upgrade the surveillance system at the Shoshone Rose Casino in Lander.
The grant will benefit the existing casino as well as a $30 million expansion that's also being financed by the Shakopee Tribe.
Work will begin in July and will be complete in summer 2016, County 10 reported.
The tribe is adding a 65-room hotel, an outdoor patio, conference rooms, a swimming pool and a coffee bar to the facility. There will also be a larger gaming floor.
