Members of the Shoshone-Bannock
Tribes of Idaho approved the sale of liquor as part of a $35.2 million casino expansion project.
The Fort Hall Casino will
expand to the site of the adjacent Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center. The existing building will then be converted into a bingo hall.
Tribal members approved the sale of beer and wine at the Hotel and Event Center in 2012. The new referendum allows liquor at the center and at the new casino.
In other election news, members elected Marcus Coby, Darrell Dixey, Lee Juan Tyler and Donna Bollinger, to four seats on the council, according to a press release. Incumbent chairman Nathan Small came in fifth so he will be leaving office.
