Quechan Nation shares gaming revenues with the community

The Quechan Nation shared $9,700 in gaming revenues with Yuma City, Arizona.

The Class III gaming compact requires the tribe to share revenues from the Paradise Casino with the state and with local governments. The latest quarterly donation was made on Wednesday.

"You can donate your money to a lot of different places, and we really appreciate your putting it back into the community," Yuma City Administrator Greg Wilkinson told Vice Chairman Emilio Escalanti, The Yuma Sun reported.

Overall, tribes shared $25.2 million with the state in the last quarter, marking the third consecutive quarter of growth.
