The Eastern Band of Cherokee
Indians in North Carolina plans to hire up to 900 people to work at its new gaming facility.
The $110 million Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel is scheduled to open later this summer, The Graham Star reported.
The 125,000 square-foot facility will feature a 50,000 square-foot gaming floor with 1,050 slot machines and 70 tables, plus a seven-story hotel with 301 rooms.
The tribe held a job fair last week and will hold another one in June.
