The Oneida Nation of
New York will open the Yellow Brick Road Casino on June 2.
The 67,000 square-foot casino is located in Chittenango, the birthplace of author L. Frank Baum.
The $20 million facility and its amenities take inspiration from the Wonderful
Wizard of Oz.
"Infused with whimsical Wizard of Oz fun, the Yellow Brick Road Casino will boast more than 430 Vegas-style cash slot machines, a 500-seat bingo hall called the Wizard Hall, an intimate Keno Lounge, the Oz General Store, and an impressive lineup of just-announced bars and restaurants," a press release states.
Gaming will be open to people ages 18 and older, the tribe said.
