Cherokee Nation to launch $6.9M renovation project at casino

The Cherokee Nation is making improvements to its flagship gaming facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The board of Cherokee Nation Businesses approved $6.9 million in renovations at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Work will start in May and will be completed in three phases, The Tulsa World reported.

The first phase is a $2.1 million renovation of the hotel lobby, the paper said. The project will be complete in 100 days.

The second phase is a $2.5 million luxury spa that will go into an existing space at the casino. There are no timelines yet on this part, the World reported.

Finally, the tribe will add a $2.3 million, 16,000 square-foot pool area. There is no timeline either, the paper said.
