Connecticut's two federally-recognized tribes reported the first increases in slot machine wagering since 2013.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal
Nation reported a slot machine handle of $446.33 million at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in December 2014. That's up 3 percent from the year prior and the first year-to-year increase at the facility since November 2013.
Despite the gain, slot machine revenues actually fell 4 percent. Foxwoods saw $36.19 million for the month of December.
The Mohegan Tribe reported a handle of $600.37 million at Mohegan Sun. That's up 5 percent from the year prior and the first year-to-year increase since August 2013.
Slot revenues also grew. Mohegan Sun saw $48.99 million for December, up 7 percent from the year prior.
