The Pala Band of Mission
Indians in California has started testing an Internet gambling site for patrons in
New Jersey.
PalaCasino.Com opened its doors earlier this week. The tribe expects a full launch on Monday after gaining final approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
"Online gaming is still a nascent industry in the U.S. and New Jersey is one of first and the largest states to legalize online real-money gaming," Jim Ryan, the CEO of Pala Interactive, told Online Poker Report. "We believe that we will surprise and delight the marketplace here with the Pala Interactive offerings, and we hope to give the market a boost with our experience, proprietary iGaming platform and innovative promotions."
As part of its efforts, the tribe is seeking beta testers for its site. All patrons must be physically based in New Jersey, as required by state law.
