The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut has a new gaming executive.
Felix Rappaport will serve as chief executive officer of the Foxwoods Resort Casino. He comes to the tribe with 34 years of hospitality, gaming and entertainment experience, having worked for a number of Nevada gaming companies.
“Felix has an incredibly extensive background, and his expertise is unmatched in the industry,” said Chairman Rodney Butler said in a press release. “His vision has been the driving force behind our master plan, which is to provide an enhanced resort experience for all our guests.”
Rappaport succeeds Scott Butera, who held the post for nearly four years while the tribe sought to recover from the national economic recession. Butera is the commissioner of the Arena Football League.
