Chickasaw Nation fired casino employee after faulty arrest

An Oklahoma man is asking the Chickasaw Nation to reinstate his gaming license and give him back his job.

Austin Wren, 24, was charged with impersonating an officer. Records show he was actually at work at the Chisholm Trail Casino at the time of the alleged incident.

But even though all charges have been dropped, Wren lost his job and his gaming license. He plans to appear in tribal court to get his name cleared.

“It’s a sad state when the tribe goes along with this,” attorney James Kee told The Duncan Banner. “We’re going to have to file paperwork. It’s gonna cost him a bunch of money to have this taken off his record. Employers don’t care if it’s dismissed. They still won’t hire him.”
