The Pala Band of Mission Indians in California will start an Internet gambling site for patrons in New Jersey.

Pala Interactive received a conditional license from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. The tribe's company is using an existing license that was granted to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

"We are fortunate to partner with Borgata, Atlantic City's premier hotel, casino and spa destination, to introduce our offering to the New Jersey market," Jim Ryan, CEO of Pala Interactive, said in a press release.

Borgata already offers Internet gaming but the Pala Interactive site will be separate. The Pala site is expected to be up and running within two weeks, the Associated Press reported.

New Jersey authorized Internet gaming last year. Patrons must be in the state to place bets.
