The Citizen Potawatomi Nation is serving liquor at its casino on Sundays, The Oklahoman reports.

Pottawatomie County outlaws sales of liquor on Sundays. But the tribe says the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort doesn't fall under local jurisdiction.

The tribe's liquor ordinance was approved by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1982, according to the agency. Typically, tribes must obtain an actual license from the state.
