South Dakota tribes will be able to offer roulette, keno and craps if voters approve Constitutional Amendment Q next month.
Tribes already offer slot machines because they are permitted under state law.
Slot machines are also permitted at non-Indian facilities in Deadwood.
If Constitutional Amendment Q is approved, state lawmakers would have the final say on the new games. Presumably, tribes would have to negotiate new Class III gaming compacts to take advantage of the expanded offerings.
Under the Indian
Gaming Regulatory Act, tribes can engage in the same types of gaming that are permitted in a state.
