California Assemblyman Adam Gray (D) introduced a bill to ratify a Class III gaming compact for the Enterprise Rancheria.
The compact authorizes gaming at an off-reservation site. The project has been controversial and has drawn opposition from tribes with existing casinos.
"The governor has had a hard time finding anybody to carry the bill," Assemblyman Dan Logue (R), who opposes the casino, told The Marysville/Yuba City Appeal-Democrat.
The bill is AB 1098.
