The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin will spend $42.6 million on a series of gaming expansion projects.
The Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature approved a $11.2 million hotel and $4.5 million events center at the gaming facility in Nekoosa. In Wittenberg, the tribe will spend $14.4 million on a hotel, $5.8 million on a conference center and $6.7 million on an expansion of the casino floor. “It’s been a long time coming,” President Jon Greendeer told The Jackson County Chronicle of the expansion. “It’s going to benefit the tribal members, the tribal employees and the outside communities." “This is a win-win-win," Greendeer added.
