The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake
Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin will hold a referendum next month for its off-reservation casino.
In 2012, tribal members voted to pursue the $132 million casino in Shullsburg. The April 30 referendum will apparently determine whether to continue funding the project.
The tribe has reached agreements with the city of Shullsburg. But the Bureau of Indian Affairs has yet to release a draft environmental impact statement for the casino.
