The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation of North Dakota is planning a renovation and expansion of its casino.
This spring, the tribe will spend $1.6 million in upgrades at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge. There will be new flooring, a new ceiling, renovated bathrooms, new signs and a bar, The Bismarck Tribune reported.“It’s going to look a lot different,” general manager Patrick Packineau told the paper. “It’ll be something really exciting for people to come and see.”
Later this year, the tribe will start work on a 4,000-plus seat multipurpose event center in order to attract more acts and host a wide variety of events. It will replace the existing 2,300-seat center. Construction of the new venue is expected to be completed in 2014, Packineau told the paper. Get the Story:
