The city of Beloit, Wisconsin, has paid $50,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by two Ojibwe tribes over a failed off-reservation casino.
The Bad River Band of Lake
Superior Chippewa and the St.
Croix Chippewa Indians sued after the city sold land to the Ho-Chunk Nation.
The Ojibwe tribes had already paid $46,000 to the city under an option agreement.
