Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes saw declines in slot machine revenue for the month of December 2013.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation saw $37.6 million in revenue at Foxwoods Resort Casino. That represented a decline of nearly 15 percent from December 2012. The Mohegan Tribe fared a little better at Mohegan Sun. Slot machine revenue was $45.9 million, a decline of about 8 percent from December 2012. Both tribes share 25 percent of slot machine revenue with the state under their Class III gaming compacts. Due to the declines, they shared $296 million last year, down from $430 million in 2007, prior to the national economic recession. Get the Story:
