Navajo Nation reopens talks on Class III gaming compact

Monday, January 13, 2014

The Navajo Nation and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez (R) have reopened Class III gaming compact negotiations.

The compact drew complaints from other tribes due to provisions affecting revenue sharing, new facilities and Internet gaming. Those issues are now being discussed again, The Albuquerque Journal reported.

The existing compact expires in 2015.
