The Poarch Band of Creek
Indians in Alabama saw a massive turnout at its casino job fair on Wednesday.
More than 1,000 people turned up for about 600 positions at the Creek Casino
Wetumpka. The tribe is debuting a $246 million expansion of the facility in December.
“People need jobs, and I believe this is a good organization with wonderful benefits," Rick Shuford, a human resources director for the tribe, told The Montgomery Advertiser.
The tribe might hold a second job fair due to the response.
