The Ramona Band of Cahuilla Indians has won approval of its Class III gaming compact in the California Legislature.
The Senate passed AB 1245, a bill that ratifies the compact, by a vote of 37-0 on Tuesday. It cleared the Assembly in August by a vote of 73-0. After the bill is signed by Gov. Jerry Brown (D), the compact can be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for review. A copy of the agreement can be found on the governor's website. Get the Story:
