Tribal casino casino revenues are starting to rebound after faltering through the recession, according to Casino City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report.
Tribal revenues fell in 2009, right after the recession yet. But the Indian gaming industry has grown in 2010 and 2011, the report said. Overall, tribes took in $27.4 billion at their casinos in 2011. That's an increase of a little more than 3 percent from 2010, according to the report. Indian Country Today noted that four of the top five gaming states saw growth in 2011-- two percent in California, eight percent in Oklahoma, six percent in Washington and five percent in Florida.
