A bill that would allow the Nez Perce Tribe to sell liquor at its casino is moving toward a final vote in the Idaho House.
The tribe already sells beer and wine at the Clearwater River Casino. As part of a $16 million expansion, the tribe wants to offer liquor at the facility. House Bill 159 creates a new exception in state liquor law that applies to tribal hotel facilities with at least 50 rooms and at least 50,000 square-feet of space. It cleared the House State Affairs Committee by a 9-7 vote on Wednesday. Get the Story:
