A pro-casino group in Massachusetts wants to meet with the leader of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.
The Citizens for Jobs and Growth in Palmer supports the tribe's bid for a casino in Palmer. The group invited Chairman Bruce "Two Dogs" Bozsum to speak about the plan sometime in the next month. The tribe paid a $400,000 fee to bid on the casino. Three other groups are also competing for western Massachusetts. "We are very excited. We're pleased that they've submitted the application and paid the $400,000 fee," Jennifer Baruffaldi of the Citizens group told The Springfield Republican. "We certainly support them wholeheartedly, and we anticipate they'll have a great, robust proposal." Get the Story:
