A development company is sticking with "Hard Rock" for its proposed casino in Iowa.
Warner Gaming, a Las Vegas developer, submitted a bid for a $118.5 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in downtown Sioux City. Warner owns its 'Hard Rock" name separately from Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. "Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a globally recognized entertainment brand and is a perfect fit for downtown Sioux City," Warner Gaming President Bill Warner said in a statement to The Sioux City Journal. "We look forward to continuing to work on this great development." Local media asked Warner about the "Hard Rock" after Isleta Pueblo in New Mexico decided to drop the name from its casino.
