The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will have to pay a $400,000 fee to start the casino license process, the chairman of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission said.
The fee is non-refundable. The tribe also has to submit to a background check just like other applicants for a casino license. “It’s a very detailed check,” Stephen Crosby, the chairman of the commission, said at a gathering yesterday, The Taunton Daily Gazette reported. Get the Story:
