The Winnebago Tribe isn't revealing details of its proposed commercial casino in Iowa but a top executive says a hotel will be a part of the plan.
Ho-Chunk Inc., the tribe's economic development corporation, wants to partner with Missouri River Historical Development, a non-profit, for a land-based facility in downtown Sioux Falls. Bids are due November 1. “It really is a win-win for the community if a local investor does it,” Lance Morgan, the CEO of Ho-Chunk Inc., told The Omaha World-Herald. Iowa law requires casino developers to pair with qualified non-profits, the paper said.
