The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is drafting an Internet gaming bill, GamblingCompliance reports.
The committee is asking tribes about the bill. It could serve as a counterpoint, or a companion, to an Internet gaming bill that Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada), the majority leader, and Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Arizona), the minority whip, are said to be developing. "This is something that affects tribes and we need to make sure we know if something is on the wind. In this town, a lot of things get done at the last minute," former Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colorado) told GamblingCompliance of the potential Red-Kyl bill. The committee is holding a hearing tomorrow to discuss regulation of tribal gaming. Internet gaming will be discussed. Get the Story:
