The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut doesn't see a reason for table game dealers to join a union.
Tribal law allows unions at Mohegan Sun. But Chairman Bruce “Two Dogs” Bozsum co-authored a letter to gaming employees that said unions are “not in the best interests of our employees," The Norwich Bulletin reported. Mohegan Sun Connecticut President and CEO Jeff Hartmann reiterated the tribe's position in a follow-up interview. “For 16 years, our business has been based on open and direction communication. With a union, we feel that one-to-one communication will be lost," he told the paper. The United Auto Workers wants to represent 1,637 dealers, the largest block of employees at the casino.
